Well, seeing as I mentioned it in my previous blog i thought I would actually show the two different logos for you to see yourself.
Personally I don’t get it. The New York Logo is colourful, vibrant, soft and inspiring. The London logo is sharp and harsh, done in an abstract form which actually makes it very difficult to work out what the hell it is saying. Also it’s in bloody pink. Now as you can see by own website I do not have an issue with pink and infact it is one of my favourite colours!!##?? However i do not think pink is applicable to the Olympic games logo and some things should stay traditional.
Apparently people have also been having epilectic fits when viewing the animated logo on TV. I would love to know how the user testing went on this project – actually, by the look of it, I don’t actually think there could’ve been any…
I think it’s back to the drawing board – but that will never happen, instead the people of the united kingdom will be left with the embarrassment of the worst olympic logo of all time.
