Woke up a bit jaded this morning so let the boys go on without me. They left early and hit Hakuba 47 and I just chilled out in the morning.
Had some time to myself so decided to speak to Justin (Lodge owner) and sorted a board out so that I could get back into boarding in my own time. Hooked up I go down to Happo and start all over again like a novice. Almost fall off the chair lift and am sat at the top of a very small slope full of in trepidation – this looks scary… Its the smallest slope in the world but I have no control over whats under my feet! F*ck it, I point the board down the hill and hope for the best… It comes back to me fairly quickly but no where near as good as I am at skiing. Spend a couple of hours on the one slope listening to Keane and checking out the beautiful mountains over the valley. Got to grips but need a few personal sessions with myself to really get up to speed and build my confidence. Will try again in a few days but will go back to skiing tomorrow.
Boys back from boarding about 4 and are heading into town for shopping and Onsen. Decide to join and we end up back at the Onsen we went to the other night. Grab some food from a noodle bar but we all have rice!!! Head back for another early night. Apres scene in Japan is fairly minimal in comparison to europe.

Mate… You cant have it all… Great white stuff or great Apres… Personally I am at an age now where I love the APres after the hill but thats all…
Would much rather spend as much time knee deep in Powder… Very Jealous… bin looking at all of Floody’s piccies.. which you seem to have been in about 1% of… I was actually questioning you actually being there
The powder is hard work on skis, hence why I am going to try boarding again today. With regard to the pictures, floody just takes pictures of himself
Seriously every five minutes he’s doing a self portrait….
Well, I am a little jealous. However, the size of your credit card keeps me smiling!!! He he. Kidding, really. xxx
